My Story of Recovery

My name is Komron Rahmonbek and I self-recovered from severe panic disorder, agoraphobia, health anxiety, intrusive thoughts, generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder.

I don’t want to bore you with a long text here (you can watch the video if you want to learn my full story). I would rather give you three core principle I wish I embraced earlier in my recovery:

1. Recovery is not a physical battle, it’s an emotional one. Stop focusing on symptoms and start empowering yourself emotionally.

2. Don’t believe anyone who tells you that you cannot recover. I was told that anxiety disorder is lifelong battle and that I should just learn to manage it. Just know that recovery is possible and you can achieve it if you start approaching it seriously.

3. No amount of “quick fixes” is going to lead you to recovery. So fall in love with the process instead of escaping it.
